Tour Dharamsala in Himachal

Dharamsala is an ideal retreat for nature lovers lcoated in the Kangra valley and set against the Dhauladhar mountain range in Himachal Pradesh.

Dharamsala is an ideal retreat for nature lovers visiting the scenic Kangra valley overlooking the Dhauladhar mountain range in the Himachal Pradesh region.
Dharamsala consists of two distinct areas which are separate but within walking distance: Lower Dharamsala where most of the government offices, schools, local hospital and commercial areas are located. It also has some tea gardens.
Upper Dharamsala, more commonly known as McLeod Ganj, is the seat of the Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama. It is home to the Tibetan community and the epicenter of religious tourism centered on Tibetan Buddhism.

Tourist attractions in Dharamsala

Mcleod Ganj
Best known as the residence of Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, the Himalayan hill is located in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh

Namgyal Monastery
Namgyal Monastery, also known as the Dalai Lama's Temple, is the personal monastery of the 14th Dalai Lama.

Tsuglagkhang Complex
The Tsuglagkhang Complex is located at the end of Temple Road, and it is the monastery that is directly opposite the residence of the Dalai Lama. Tsuglagkhang is the largest Tibetan temple outside Tibet, and attracts thousands of Buddhist worshipers and people eager to meet the Dalai Lama every year.
Inside you will find a large meditation hall populated by monks in red robes and shaved heads, and the Kalachakra temple with beautiful frescoes.
Admission to the Tsuglagkhang Complex is naturally free, but remember to leave a donation, the monks' only source of livelihood.
At the entrance of the complex you will also find the Tibet Museum, which exhibits the history of the Chinese occupation of Tibet through photos and stories.

Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts
The Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA) is a cultural institution established on August 11, 1959 to preserve Tibetan artistic heritage.

Bhagsunag Waterfall
Bhagsunag Waterfall is one of the major tourist attractions in Mcleod Ganj.
The waterfall is located just after Bhagsu village. You can also bathe in the pool of water where the jet of the waterfall falls, but I warn you that the water is rather chilly.

Triund
One of India's most beautiful trekking destinations, Triund is a delight for those who love mountain views, clouds and camping under the stars.

Naam Art Gallery
Naam Art Gallery is a popular tourist spot in Dharamshala. Inside are paintings and exhibits with works by painters Elsbeth Buschmann and A.W.
