Saputara's main attraction is the beautiful Vansda National Park. This excellently preserved nature park is located between the Sahyadri mountain ranges and covers an area of approximately 24 square kilometers.
It got its name Vansda because it was once privately owned by the Maharaja of Vansda. Not a single tree has been cut since then. It is a park that is open to transit and you can easily get a permit if you want to explore it with your vehicle.
The park is very close to the city of Waghai which is an entry point to the Dang Jungles. Paradise for botanists and wildlife lovers, the place is home to over the varieties of diverse and unique varieties of flora and fauna. The Ambika River flows along its northeastern border and most of the park falls under the drainage basin.

Unlike other national parks, Vansda offers its visitors two route options. They can choose to walk or take a vehicle inside. The park also has other attractions such as interaction with local tribes, Gira Falls and the Conservation Center. Vansda's Gira Falls are the pride of the park and must be experienced by anyone planning to visit the park.
